About Youth Leadership Academy Australia (YLAA):Youth Leadership Academy Australia (YLAA) is a pioneering youth-led not-for-profit organization committed to empowering young Australians to lead themselves, their schools, and our communities. Through dynamic programs and large-scale events, we provide students from Year 5 to Year 12 with the tools to develop critical leadership skills. Our national tour events bring together thousands of students, educators, and inspirational speakers to create impactful learning experiences.

Position Overview: We are seeking enthusiastic volunteers to support the delivery of our 2025 YLAA National Tour. As a volunteer, you will play a vital role in the successful execution of events that inspire and empower young leaders across Australia. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a meaningful cause, gain event management experience, and be part of a passionate team dedicated to making a positive difference.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with event setup and pack-down, including registration areas, seating, and stage preparation.
• Greet and guide attendees, ensuring a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere.
• Support the coordination of event logistics, including managing schedules and assisting speakers.
• Distribute event materials such as booklets and fact sheets to participants.
• Help manage crowd control and ensure safety protocols are followed.
• Assist with attendee inquiries and provide general support throughout the event.
• Capture attendee feedback and contribute to post-event debriefs.

Who We Are Looking For:

• Enthusiastic individuals who are passionate about youth leadership and empowerment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexible and adaptable to changing event needs.
• Previous experience in event management or volunteering is a plus, but not required.
• Must be available for at least one full event day in any of the tour locations.

Event Schedule:

• Perth: 6th & 7th March 2025
• Adelaide: 3rd & 4th March 2025
• Melbourne: 26th & 27th March 2025
• Sydney: 13th & 14th March 2025
• Brisbane: 17th March & 19th March 2025
