Fiona Sanford is an expert in female facilitation who focuses on mental health, teenage girls & gymnasts. Fiona has now worked with over 10,000 teenage girls across Australia.
Prior to this Fiona was the CEO of Game Changers Australia, a not for profit preventative mental health organisation aimed to mentor and upskill young Australians to be empowered leaders in their lives and communities. She was also part of the founding female facilitation team for the Rites of Passage Institute working alongside Mandy Dante to create and deliver workshops in leading schools across Victoria, South Australia and Queensland. Fiona has also presented wellbeing workshops for Sport and Life Training (SALT) which is a non-for-profit health promotion organisation who aims to transform Australian culture through sport.
Fiona is an accomplished award-winning gymnast and coach having represented Victoria at the national level. She was selected as 1 of 8 young Australians to represent the Australian Olympic Committee at the 8th International Pierre De Coubertin Youth Forum. After the forum, Fiona joined the Victorian Olympic Council.
Fiona was also nominated as Foundation for Young Australians Young Social Pioneers in 2019. In 2012, Fiona was also awarded the Young Citizen of the Year for the Mornington Peninsula region.
At the age of 18, Fiona worked for Youth Sports Trust, UK's leading charity improving every young person's education and development through sport and play. This is what sparked Fiona’s passion to empower young Australians to build not only physical strength but also mental resilience. Fiona is on a mission to bridge the gap between young people and mental health.
